TabClip Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 11, 2026

TabClip (“we”, “the extension”) is a browser extension that lets you record a screen region, upload local files, annotate clips, and export GIF or video. All capture, editing, and export run on your device. We do not operate a server that receives your recordings.

Information we collect

We do not collect, sell, or transmit your personal information to our servers. TabClip does not require an account.

When you use TabClip, the following data is stored locally in your browser only:

Website content

When you choose to record or screenshot a region, TabClip captures visible content from the active tab you are viewing. This happens only after you click Select region or start capture. This content is processed locally to create your clip. It is not uploaded to us or to third-party servers for storage or analysis.

TabClip does not access all websites automatically, collect your browsing history, or run on pages without your action.

Permissions

Third parties

TabClip does not sell or share user data with third parties. The extension does not load remote code.

Data retention and deletion

Your clips remain on your device until you delete them in the library or uninstall the extension. Uninstalling TabClip removes extension-local data from Chrome.

Children

TabClip is not directed at children under 13.
